Impossibly Easy Cheeseburger Pie - recipe from Bisquick

| Print | E-mail

This is great for breakfast/brunch - but also yummy for dinner!
1 lb ground beef
1 large onion, chopped
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup shredded cheese (more if you like)
1/2 cup original Bisquick mix
1 cup milk
2 eggs

Heat oven to 400 degrees. Spray or grease 9" pie plate. Brown beef, salt and onion, season to taste, drain. Spread in pie plate; sprinkle with cheese. In bowl, stir together remaining ingredients. Pour into pie plate. Bake about 25-30 min or until knife inserted in center comes out clean. 6 servings.

Variations:
* for people who don't like meat - leave out meat and onion and mix up the rest, pour in pie plate and sprinkle with cheese
* add more cheese if you like it cheesy
* exchange sausage for the beef - or combine beef and sausage together
* add cooked and cut up bacon, pepproni or Lil' Smokies along with the ground beef or sausage for a different flavor
* play around with meat and egg ratio - use more eggs, Bisquick and milk for an "eggier" dish or more meat for a "meaty" dish
