Peanut Butter Brownie Bars

13x9 pan, greased 350 for 20-25 min. then after second step, bake 4-6 min. longer.

1 pkg. fudge brownie mix
12 peanut butter cups, chopped
1/2 c. salted peanuts, chopped
2 c. (12 oz) semi-sweet chocolate chips
1-1/4 c. creamy peanut butter
1 tbsp. butter
1/8 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1-1/2 c. rice crispy cereal

Prepare brownie mix according to pkg. Spread into prepared pan. Bake for 20-25 min. or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out with moist crumbs.

Sprinkle w/ peanut butter cups and peanuts. Bake 4-6 min. longer or until chocolate is melted. Cool on wire rack.

Meanwhile, in a lg. saucepan, combine chocolate chips, peanut butter, butter and salt. Cook and stir until chips are melted and mixture is smooth. Remove from heat; stir in vanilla and cereal. Carefully spread over brownies. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hrs. before cutting. Makes 3 dozen.
