What a wonderful day. The kids and I joined a couple of friends at Twin Ponds in Woodmoor for a picnic lunch. The weather was great, the kids were great, the friends and conversation were great.
So during the kids naps, I went to get a haircut. When Jay's home and I leave in the afternoon it's always to run errands, or in this case get a haircut. So, when the haircut was finished, I just felt like not going home (ever had those moments?), and yet I didn't want to run errands or DO anything.
So, finally I decided that I could go to the Wisdom Tea House which was only a block away and just get a drink and sit. I've never gone there before by myself, so I couldn't really recall whether or not they had books or not that you could pick up and read. Well, I order a chocolate tea latte, sit down on a cozy chair and see a bookshelf. Funny, I go to the bookshelf and within a few seconds see a book that we just recently got, and I've only ready 1 1/2 chapters in it - Too Small To Ignore, by Wess Stafford. So I pick it up and think - oh, this is great! Well there is a bookmark in it - and it just happens to be on the exact page that I'm at. Then I look at the bookmark - which says, "God I need you now".
Hmmm... it was such a great feeling to know that I was right where God wanted me at that moment, and that in the next 45 minutes before I knew Jonah would be waking up, I was there, reading, right where I was supposed to be.
