1 Corinthians 13:3-8
If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing.
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Love never fails.
Thoughts
A good test to see if you need work in the area of love or need to see where you might need to improve when it come to love - Read this passage of Scripture again, but this time replace the word 'love' or where love is referenced, with your name.
Now think about all these attributes about love, God is perfect in every one of them. In fact He is and was and is to come, every aspect of LOVE. Some of you are questioning that and I believe at times it's healthy to question. For those of you who are questioning, think of this - Why are you questioning? And what aspect of love is prompting your questioning?
True love is something that cannot be removed, replaced, stolen. It is a concept that no human could have every invented or that evolution could have ever randomized. It's something that everyone desires and is interwoven in all portions of life. Everywhere you go, everywhere you look, hear, taste, sense, love is there. Recognize it, respond to it, sense it, feel it, be it and life as you know it will change. To fully live life is to fully love, to fully love is to fully live life.
